@tarheelgrad98:  When you and your ex split, did you get the album?

Fiance didn’t like the idea of it either. He thinks they’re sexy, but a waste of money. And he did bring up the ‘Why would I want another person to see my fiance naked??’. So I never pushed it. Fine by me! 🙂

@MrsPinkPeony: Thanks. 🙂 Me too!! And I’m glad that your guy didn’t have that type of reaction!

@Loribeth: Oh yeah. Like I said, he put them in his bedside drawer and never looked at them. So when he left, they were still in the drawer. I promptly threw them away!

Guys are funny about this type of thing. I think the best thing to do is to ask first to see how they’d react (obviously not an option now).

But for you I think explaining that that’s what the studio does and no one else will see them may help him get over the shock of it all.

This is a total bummer and I’m sorry things didn’t work out the way you’d planned/hoped.  I hope your Fiance comes around an appreciates the pictures.

This is part of the reason I’m DIY’ing my boudoir pictures.  I’m doing it 110% myself, for both of us.  I’m not shy or scared of having a woman photograph me, but for one, it’s $795 in my area, and for another, I want these to be ALL me.  I’m also not quite sure what you’re supposed to do with them afterward so I dont want to spend too much time/energy/effort/money on this either.  My Fiance travels for work so I’ll probably make him a travel photo album, but then what? You know?

I haven’t said a PEEP about this to my Fiance and he probably has no idea what a boudoir session even is… but the dude still gets Playboy delivered (even though he swears he stopped paying for the subscription 2 years ago?…?) so I’d imagine he’d appreciate some sexay picturesssss of his wifey.

I hope.

I can totally understand your fiance’s reaction as well as yours. I think it was a great idea, but I understand his worry someone else will see them. I do a little boudoir photography here and there and was explaining to my husband what that mean.. he then asked “Where are my photos of you?!”  I’d love to give him some photos, but like your husband- I’d be nervous someone would find them (i.e. when we have kids. When I was a kid I loved going through my parents stuff when they left the house).

@tarheelgrad98:  That’s good! The last thing you want is for an ex to have your boudoir pics!

My fiancé is the type that would not like it. He doesn’t want anyone else seeing that much of me. I thought it might be neat though, so I brought it up to him and he reacted exactly the way I thought he would. If I could do it without someone actually having to take the pictures, he would be all for it. I guess if I wanted to do it bad enough, I would need one of those buttons I could hold to take the picture myself, lol.

my DH also had the same reaction a lot of bees are describing when i brought the idea with him.  in fact, he said some of the same things your Fiance did, like “i dont want anyone to see you naked and/or dressed sexy like that” and “if there are photos lying around, someone will see them eventually that we dont want to”.  basically he thought it was too risky and totally not worth the money since he could see me anytime. so i didnt bother.  maybe if i have money to spare one day, i will do it for myelf and i am sure he would enjoy the pics, although still be nervous about them existing.

oh gosh, you’re all making me nervous… I’m hoping to buy a deal to get them, and I’m really NOT sure how Fiance will react! I’m going to try and subtley ask him him tonight… :-/

I thought guys were so visual that they LOVED pictures of their woman?! what about when they go on a business trip or something…?

@MrsPinkPeony:  A LOT of them act like jealous, possessive chest beating caveman at first but they get over it and come to appreciate them. Besides, the pictures aren’t JUSTfor them anyway 😉
