See if a girlfriend would take pictures of you. You’d feel more comfortable, plus it would be free/cheap. PLUS, the technical quality of the photos probably won’t be in the forefront of your FI’s mind when he sees them, so I wouldn’t be concerned that it wasn’t a pro taking them. Wink

@sheepandbear:  They run boudoir specials all the time on Groupon/ Living Social down here in Austin… worth checking out!

What about asking a girlfriend to take the pictures? I think you’re right that a random student might not be the best at coaching and coaxing that inner vixen out of you. You’d have the lack-of-studio issue with either one, but I know I would be less nervous in front of a supportive girlfriend. I’d just do the pictures at my own house because I’m too cheap to get a hotel room just for that, plus they aren’t usually a super-sexy background anyway. Or you could ask your photog if they would consider a boudoir shoot as an add-on. The worst that could happen is they’ll say no they don’t offer that, no big deal.

I’d be very careful about who you let shoot you Boudoir! Imagine all the scary things that could happen if you dont trust the person! An actual qualified Boudoir photographer will know lighting and posing tricks that will make you look much more shapely, toned and accentuate all the right places while minimizing those you dont want to see. If you do go the amateur route I’d pick someone you 100% trust and simply copy poses.

I just did my own boudoir shoot in my bedroom for absolutely zero cost.  Had my doubts…I was really shocked and pleased with the results!

If you went the girlfriend/any friend route, what’s wrong with taking the pics in your bedroom? That could add to the sexiness! Put your best sheets on the bed and do a series of shots, like one of you laying in bed on your side, but the covers only up to just under your butt, and you’re wearing a sexy undies set. The shot could be taken from behind your back, then do one with you coquettishly peeking around at the camera, etc.

You could mix in playful shoots, like you with sexy bedhead and standing at the stove like you’re making hot water, but in a super short robe with cute panties peeking out.

Shooting at home and doing more than the posed pinup shots would help you be more natural in front of the camera, too.

The possibilities are endless if you do home shots! Everytime he walks into your kitchen, bedroom, etc., he’ll wish you were dressed and posed like you were in your boudoir pics.

I’m so doing this.  I’ve asked my sister to take the pictures for me.  We are planning on doing them in Feburary that way Ill be tan.  Gotta start tanniany again soon so Im not too crazy pale for the wedding. We are going to do them at home.  I think my fiancé will find that sexy and unexpected.  I’m not sexy at all!!!  Lol. But I think I’ll be able to pull it off for this, with help of a little research on DIY sessions.  Ill also feel comfortable doing it with my sister.  Then I’m going to print the pictures on her computer :). Can’t wait!!!  So excited!!
