I am merely curious your thoughts on boudoir photography in general. I think it is gorgeous, as long as you have the right photographer. Sometimes it can look rather trashy IMO. However, it can be amazing to see the women all dolled up, or lack thereof, and looking amazing. It also seems like it could be a great confidence booster as well. A way to see yourself in a new and different light. Would any of you consider doing it for yourself and not necessarily for your SO/FI/DH to see?

I did it for myself when I was 24.. I’m so glad I did! It was a nice confidence boost and I like knowing that I have those pictures for the future so that I can look back and say “wow, I looked damn good!”
ETA: And it was fun!

I have one booked for next month! I’m so excited. We aren’t even engaged yet, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to get gorgeous pictures of myself in sexy outfits taken, and SO really loved the idea too so he bought me a discount package from a photographer back in Valentine’s Day. Two of my good friends also bought the package, so we have a 4-hour session booked together which should be a great bonding experience.
I’m a pretty liberal, free-spirited person so I guess I just find sexy photography to be really empowering and a great way to embrace and love your body. I’d probably get them done even if I wasn’t in a relationship.

@givemecouture: that is where i am at personally. it is one of those situations where people around me tell me that i am pretty and such but it’s hard to see it. i’ve lost weight over the past few years and still have the old mindset. i am super hopeful that this will help a bunch. the photographer i have chosen to go with is amazing. i am beyond excited.
@MissCalifornia: how fun! a group of friends would be awesome to do that with. my SO doesn’t know about it…actually, no one but the people who will read this know i am planning on doing it. have a blast!

My Fiance is kinda ‘Vanilla’ so I still do not know if I will do it, though I want to so bad.
It would have to be the ‘girlfriend sexy’. Big teeshirts and boyshorts or Mens boxers and a tank.

I would love to do a boudoir shoot, but we have no idea what we’d do with the photos afterward. Like, I don’t want them hanging around in an album for anyone who’s at our house to look at, you know? Ew, what if our future kids find it?!

Neither my Fiance nor I really see the point of it. Not something either of us are interested in.

I do 1 shoot a year for my Fiance. He loves it. I have fun doing it also.

My Fiance is a hobby photographer, so we have lots of pictures of every variety! I think it’s a great idea provided they don’t get into the wrong hands.

I wish I would’ve done some boudoir shots before I got pregnant. I have a feeling I will probably never want them after carrying a child and all it’s doing to my body!
