I did this.  MOre than it being a gift for my husband it made me feel really good and sexy about my self.  Since I’ve gotten the pictures, I’ve felt a lot more confident about myself and they way I look.  Albeit I was airbrushed and photoshoped in some pictures, it’s still nice to see yourself like this.

My experience was great.  I googled boudior in my area and looked at a few people’s work.  I found a lady I was really comfortable with and since I also wanted to do some outside shots, she came to my house (we live in a remote area – not many houses around).  It went so great in fact that when we had a falling out with our wedding photographer – I had no hesitation to ask her to do my wedding pictures.

Good luck!

I didn’t know what it was, either! And the only way I would EVER consider Boudoir photography is if I whip my butt into shape first! Haha.

I did, and it was much easier than I thought it would be.  While the pics didnt turn out as great as I would hope, I got the rights so I can have my BFF fix them up for the hubs.  Can’t wait for him to see them

It was AMAZING! Here are more women who did them! Mine were a gift for hubby when he got back from Iraq =]

I did them!  Haven’t seen anything but a sneak peek of photos yet, but I am so happy I did!  I know Fiance will love them when he gets them and I will love looking back at them in the future when I don’t have my mid-20s body anymore.

I actually saw a post on the classifieds for someone in the Philly area looking to break into that area of photography, and after talking to her and seeing her other work felt comfortable setting things up with her.  Bonus – it was a free session (other than paying for makeup and a few new outfits).

I’m in the process of finding a photographer to do this, one I feel comfortable with.  I think it’ll be a good gift for the wedding.  Its so not something I’ve considered before hearing so much about it recently.  I’m kinda shy about my body but that’s all the more reason to do it, so the future hubby knows how important he is to me.

I would just ask around town, throw a post on here in your area and see what people say.  Then look at all the gallery pics the photographer has, if you like their style, try ’em out!

I’m getting my pics done in several weeks and I’m excited/nervous about it!  It’s taken a lot of courage to do it because I’m at my highest weight ever…well, not technically, I’m 5 lbs down from my highest weight, but you get the point. lol  I keep telling myself how excited my Fiance will be to get this as his wedding present…

As for choosing a photographer, I won a free 1/2 hour session at a bridal fair, so it was a no brainer for me.  Although, if I had an extra $700 floating around, I would have LOVED to go with another photographer I had found.

I thought it was a totally awesome idea, but when I brought it up to Fiance, he was not amused.  He really didn’t like the idea of another person taking near naked pictures of me.  Oh well.

I want to do them because I really toned up this summer and feel confident about my body, but I don’t really know what my fiance would do with them….look at them?  He said he wouldn’t want to show them to anyone….how did everyone’s fiance react to the pics?

I am planning to… for a few reasons:

1)  I think it will be good motivation for my fitness (and skincare) routine.  I think I can find a dress that can adequately conceal my tummy but it can’t hide when I’m just in my skivvies.  I suck my stomach in even in group dressing rooms so the thought of someone recording it for posterity will hopefully scare my lazy ass in motion.

2)  Given our ages, we’ll probably start trying for kids pretty soon.  I want to remember my bod pre-stretch marks and varicose veins.

3)  I’ve always been more of a cute girl, rather than a smoking hot one and I think this does impact my confidence in the bedroom.  I think seeing myself in a new light will be good for me.

So, really, it’s mostly for me.  He’ll probably enjoy it and he will definitely be surprised (hadn’t really thought that he might not like someone else taking pictures because I was planning to use a woman photographer but maybe I should  figure out a way to slyly ask first.)
