Hi, I’ve decided I want to do boudoir photos for my Fiance as his wedding present. I’ve only started looking into this and just wanted some feedback from the gals who are doing this as well or have already done it.
1) What is the price (range) you paid? Right now I’m seeing sessions from $350-$1200!
2) How did you or how do you plan to present the photos to your man? Did you make a book, only select a few? Looking for some suggestions here.
Any other tips/advice would be appreciated! I’ve seen lots of pics on here from other bees and I think these pics are beautiful. I can’t wait to have some of my own! 🙂

@bride17458: I paid about $800 for mine I believe. I saw packages for a couple hundred dollars less, but I thought the photographer I chose had much better quality and the girls looked MUCH more comfortable in their photos and their personalities really shone through. It was pricey, but I’m glad I decided to go that way. I think I really would have regretted going with someone cheaper but not enjoying the experience as much, it really would have shown in the photos.
My package included a 5″x5″ hard cover book. I put it in his grooms gift, a big box of “stuff” for the wedding day like cologne, socks, cigars for him and his Groomsmen, some snacks and my photos. I made sure to put a big note on the photo book that it was for his eyes only 😉 My photographer had me pick my top 20 photos from an online gallery she set up for my from my shoot and that’s what went into my book. She also gave me a disk with the images, and at any time I can reorder those photos in a larger book, or select new ones for another book for $200+ depending on the size of the book. I like them so much and loved my photographer so much that I’m hoping that when we decide to have kids we’ll do a pregnancy shoot with her 🙂

Thanks ladies! Someone said on another post that if you cant afford to get them done by the best, then you really shouldn’t bother with them. So, what you said about there being cheaper packages but suffered quality really helped. I feel like everything is overpriced in South Florida. I have my feelers out to about 4 different photog … I loved all their portfolios, so hopefully someone comes back with a reasonable price. I think I could live with $800 if it came down to it… as long as the pictures are completely amazing!

i cannot wait to do my boudoir…i actually have a friend that is getting into photography and she is going to do them for me…thank goodness because im a little shy. My original though, to save money was to have my sister do them, she has a nice camera but has no photography skills…but there is a site called picnik.com where you can edit photos for free…just an idea.
So cliche but i want to get my FI’s BMW and take pictures with it…on the hood. with a bucket and soap. a hose. haha..its going to be fun..but i better hurry up before it gets super cold outside.
