Following. I am looking in to this also. My friend did this for a gift to her husband on their wedding day. She got a smaller album (like to keep on nightstand next to bed). I believe hers was around $300 plus she had to get a hotel room where they did the shoot. She said it was akward but her photographer helped alot and told her how to pose. I am sure having a very experienced photographer who can help out and make you more relaxed would be a HUGE help. THe photographer that she used moved away ๐Ÿ™ so I am trying to find another at the moment.

1. How much was the session? My session was included in our wedding package. Stand alone session fee wouldve been around $175, not counting any kind of prints.

2. What did you do with the photos? They’re in a little black book in my husband’s dresser.

3. Was it awkward/weird? Not even a little bit! Our photographer was super professional and very talented.

4. Where was the photo shoot? Our photographer had booked an upscale hotel room for her annual boudoir event.

5 any other advice / comments?!?! DO IT! I had so much fun and I love the pictures just as much as my husband does. Anyone can feel like a Victoria’s Secret model from a boudoir session. We’ve now been married a year and I’m thinking about doing another session before we TTC!

cantwaittobeamrs:  I’m actually going to do mine on the 20th, so I will follow up! I actually won a raffle during a bridal expo so the session is free and I get $100 towards the pictures. They have some really great deals on Groupon though, so make sure you check those out before you book. The company I’m doing mine through travels to major cities on a monthly basis and they shoot in a hotel suite.

I actually did this for my boyfriend for his birthday last year! So they weren’t bridal shots or anything … but definitely boudoir. He always wants me to send photos via txt when I’m away with work but I HAAAAATE sexting… so this was a fun alternative for me.

My friend is a photographer and I’m really close to her… so she did it for free! Having a boudoir shoot is ridiculously empowering… I felt so great afterwards!

I put all the photos in a small album… he loved it. ๐Ÿ™‚

cantwaittobeamrs:  I did mine at the end of May and while I dont have the book yet, we went through the pictures right after the session.  If you are in the NYC area, please pm me and I’ll give you the woman I worked with and details.  I highly recommend her and doing it!

1. How much was the session?

$299 which included 10 photos, and one custom print.

2. What did you do with the photos?

The photographer is a friend of mine – she has put together a book for me and giving it to me as her wedding present for me to pass it along to FH.

3. Was it awkward/weird?

At first – yes. But she’s a friend of mine and she just made me laugh the entire time. She kept saying things like “Oh god, yes! That’s it!”, snap a picture and then say something like “p88sy” to make me laugh. However I doubt she did this with other clients. ๐Ÿ™‚

4. Where was the photo shoot?

Hotel room. It was one with a lounge room and separate bedroom. She would do the loungeroom shots first, move to the bedroom while the next person came in. You could then get changed in the bedroom and leave. She had a makeup artist there as well – hence the small overlap.

5. Any other advice / comments?!?!

Do it! It was so much fun. I was really nervous – and I personally think in the first couple of photos you can tell so my suggestion would be do your first few photos and then once you’ve relaxed, ask if you can just get one or two more in the first position/area/pose/etc. I really liked my pose and the composition of the photo but I think you can tell I’m a bit nervous.

cantwaittobeamrs:  1.       AUD$3000- 3hour shoot and 15 framed prints (slightly larger than A4) + digital copies

2.       My Fiance and I have a few displayed in our home, he loves it

3.       I was nervous but the photographer was mid 40s, professional and complimented me lots. He also talked about his wife and kids so I felt totally at ease. Mine was a full nude shoot, it has give me so much confidence! They offered me the chance to be part of their promotional material too (website etc)

4.       The photographers studio with his assistant (female) downstairs

5.       Be yourself! Love your body beacsue you are beautiful! Is yours nude? Even if it is or isn’t, treat yourself to a mani/pedi and spray tan- they help with confidence and look stunning!
