photoshop easily erases stretch marks. ^_^ I know because Fiance erased all of mine.

I don’t get the point of these photos and feel like they are just another ploy from the wedding industry complex to get women to spend more money. If your Fiance wants those kind of pictures and you aren’t comfortable with them, ask him to do it.

Plus, what do you do with those photos? I don’t imagine you have them framed in your living room and how often do you really think your Fiance is going to take them out and jerk off to them?

@cyndistar3: Tell them how much they cost. I’m sure he will change his mind. If you are uncomfortable with it, it’s going to show in photos. Maybe you can start off by taking photos of yourself? Good boudoir shots don’t even show the whole body. The most artistic ones I have seen were close ups of certain parts and curves.

Nowadays it’s just soft porn.

I wouldn’t have them done. I would rather spend my money on more practical things. Or have pictures that I could hang in my house and we could both enjoy.

You say you have $1K for your wedding and you don’t work.  How will you pay for these photos?  Will you dip into your already tight wedding budget?

Some people have DIY’d them.  From your previous posts, I would try to do them yourself or get a friend you trust w an artistic eye and a decent camera to do them.  And any basic photo editing software can remove stretch marks or other blemishes.  Best of luck.

My 2cents.  I really like boudoir pics.  I know people that get them without a wedding coming up as a sexy gift.

EDIT: Your pics also dont have to show your entire body (ie places w stretchmarks).  There are a lot of lying down poses where the face and bust are exposed.  Or you can get a lower  leg shot w/ high heels.  All these can have the same allure.

I love boudoir pix! As a photographer, and a plus size gal – I think they are fabulous!! First, you don’t have to be naked or even close, many boudoir shoots involve jerseys, men’s shirts (baggy & concealing) and sultry head shots. Second, they are typically bound into small books and occasionally pulled out. Remember, this shoot isn’t just for him. Curvy women are beautiful, but sometime we forget that. Well. go find that little book and remind yourself that you are hot! Chances are, if he wants boudoir pix, he thinks so too. Also, they are not even close to porn. That is not the idea of a boudoir shoot. If you go to a professional photographer, trust me, they have seen full figured curvy women before & there are all sorts of tips and tricks to hide to unflattering and accentuate those curves. I think boudoir is a great idea to remind women that they are still hot, no matter what size they are.

I’m considereing them… I have curves and my fiance loves them :o) I definetly want a photographer who’s good at photoshop though (ok now erase that stretch mark and make my boobs a little rounder. Great make my waist look small and get rid of my double chin: PERFECT!) lol. I adore photoshopped pics.

Here are some pics of curvy girls doing boudoir pics: I think they are gorgeous!

Sometimes I think its about what you don’t show.  Think of like the fan dances that they used to do, teasing that they were going to show something but never do.  I think it probably is a great big fad.  But if you do it, why not be teasing about it.  After all, this is not about looking like you are going into Playboy.  Just showing off your beautiful self.

I once heard, never have a picture taken that you wouldn’t show your parents or your children. The fact is, you don’t know where pictures will end up, even if they are intended for the eyes of one person. Saying this, I am not against a boudoir pic, but think you should keep these thoughts in mind.

You could definitely DIY this. Get a close girlfriend and just do it in the comfort of your home. I like the idea of a button up men’s shirt and maybe a black bra peeking out. Add some pumps, and you have a sexy yet very covered shoot. I also agree with the ideas of closeups on certain parts, maybe just a sexy look over a bare shoulder blade? No need to go the full monty, the Fiance will know what the rest of it looks like, you just want to give him a little taste 😉
