I had no idea that white gold was plated. Like OP, I noticed part of my ring changing colors and got really nervous about it! You ladies are so knowledgeable 😊

You can definitely get the ring re-plated but in the end it will always start going yellowish after some time. You need to make peace with it or just get it replated all the time. I have a white gold engagement ring and was shocked when I added on a white gold wedding band on top after 1.5 year long engagement. The difference is HUGE. But then I will wait a while for the band to start getting yellowish so I can do them both at the same time so they can match. But in the end this is the disadvantage of white gold. I decided not to stress to much about it and just have it replated once in a while.

This is one of the many reasons I don’t like white gold! Having to get it re-dipped all the time as the rhodium plating wears off! I actually like the creamy colour of undipped white gold more than rhodium plated gold

I wonder what you’ve done to wear the plating off the tips so quickly? You should look into this with MoCo to see what’s happening. They might offer to redip your ring for free – as it would get expensive to have to re-dip every few months.
