So a few weeks ago my Fiance and I headed into the jewellry store where he bought my E0ring onthe hunt for his wedding band. We didn’t love anything in the cases, so the sales girl brought out a catalogue from a designer whose rings we liked but were not fitting our wants. SO out of the catalogue, we find a gorgeous, white and rose gold, brushed finish band that we both LOVE. So we ask for the price. The same ring was in the showcase in solid white gold, which was average looking. Priced at $750, 14K white gold. So the sales girl said she would have to call us with the price on the rose gold one. She called the next monday, and infomred us it would be $900! Fiance choked on it, as did I. WTF, Rose gold shouldn’t be THAT much more expensive for the same darn ring! So we said no thanks and kept looking. We went back to the store this past Sunday (2 weeks later), and they had the rose gold ring in stock! Crazy business…what was even crazier, it was only $500!! SO I really don’t understand why 2 weeks prior, the SAME darn ring, was $400 MORE just because we had to order it in and it wasn’t a stock item! We now have to order it for him in the correct size, but no price change.
So fate has played a hand, and Fiance gets his ring, and we save money! I live it, it mimics mine so closely, it’s gonna look dynamite next to mine in the wedding pics! We want him to start wearing it now lol!
