I’m already 80 pages through, I can’t put it down 🙂 Darling Husband and I want to start TTC toward the end of the year and I really want to know more about my body/cycles first. I was surprised how much I didn’t know!
I’m going to start charting this week. Any suggestions bees? Your help would be greatly appreciated!!!!! 🙂

I have no suggestions but i am glad that you are finding it so helpful! I am going to go buy it this week – Fiance and I are going to start trying in the summer/fall of this year – so excited! Best of luck to both of us!

@Mrs.Enne: It’s an excellent book with a plethora of information. I, too, learned quite a lot!! You might want to wait to start charting until CD1 (the first day of your period). Good luck when you start the TTC process!!

I saw that book yesterday (at the grocery store of all places) and was very close to buying it. We won’t be TTC till after the wedding so I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself. It seems like a lot of ppl recommend it though. I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying it!

Glad you picked up the book! A friend of mine gave me her copy. I was shocked at how much I didn’t know. I started charting after we TTC for a few months. I use fertility friend. I like the site, it take alot of the guess work out b/c it basically does everything for you. The first week is the hardest b/c you worry you will forget. But it really does become a habit. Good Luck to yoU!

I just ordered it on AMazon and it comes tomorrow 🙂 I’m actually still on the pill for a few more months, so I can’t start charting until them, but I’m looking forward to reading it now. I get the feeling it will make me want to stop the pill a little earlier than planned. Don’t plan to TTC until the fall but I like to prepare– I had to force myself to wait until the calendar year that we plan to try in 🙂

Yay, Fiance is ordering this for me this week! I’m in the same boat as some of you – a few more pill packs to go and then we’re TTC, finally. I can’t wait! 🙂

I can’t wait to get this book!! After the wedding I am going off hormonal BC even though we will not be ttc for at least a year, I want to let my body adjust again and figure out my cycle and what not.
I’m so excited, I’m glad there are a lot of other bees who enjoy the book.

@Westvillebride: Yes, good luck to you too!!! 🙂
@melisslp: Good call- I think I’m going to start taking my temp now- so I can get used to waking up and doing it- but I won’t be recording it until I get back to CD1. 🙂
@Wispy: I was worried about that! I’m trying to “practice” by taking my temps now and I also changed the name on my cell phone alarm from “Wake Up” to “Take Temp” lol.
@foodnerd81: I’m a planner too. I know we still have months to go but I want/need to feel like I’m as ready as possible!
So far, I’m loving TCOYF! Once I actually start full-on charting I’ll probably be back asking a ton of questions! Thanks for the feedback ladies 🙂

I’ve read this book and it was totally fascinating! I couldn’t believe how much I learned. I wouldn’t worry about starting to temp until CD1. Good luck!

I was so bummed when i got my copy and realized I can’t use any of it until I go off HBC. I also am still really confused about the actual transition off of HBC to charting, which is part of why I am waiting to figure it out when we are finally ready to TTC (hopefully this fall!).

I got my copy a few months ago, it is a great book! I also bought a thermometer.
I get my BC implant out tomorrow (yikes!) and I am ready to start following this book more closely. yay TCOYF’ers!
There is also a forum on their website that is really helpful for questions.

@justelope: Haha, yeah. I was trying to explain why being on HBC would mess everything up 🙂
@soyjoy222: I didn’t know about the forum- I’ll check it out. Thanks!

That book changed my life. I charted for years (2005) and used the rules for both birth control and TTC. 🙂
Their forums used to be awesome, but are just a shell of what they were. It was great having people help interpret your charts.
