I’m a little frustrated. I bought my dress at Davids Bridal, and they have a no return, no exchange, blah, blah.. which I’m sure every bridal shop has. But should they not be able to honor a price that has been changed less then 30 days after the purchase? I don’t have my receipt, it’s at my mothers house so I’m not 100% sure, but I know they are pretty damn strict with these things. Plus, I’m starting to not even like the dress, I’m kicking myself for even thinking it’s the one. When you try them on, it’s just a huge whirlwind that I got caught up in. 🙁

To answer your question, no. It isn’t their fault you bought it a month before it went on sale. It isn’t their fault if you had bought it a day before it went on sale. If they had done this, everything would always be on sale price for everyone, and that just isn’t realistic.

@kellsweddingbells: I agree…I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve bought something and then saw it on sale only a few days later. The worst part is that if you return an item you will likely only get the sale price in refund too.

No. They do not have to honor anything because they do not owe you anything. You bought your dress for full price, and that was the extent of your contract with them. If they had to honor a sale price, they would likely go out of business.

I agree with the other Bees, it’s unrealistic to expect any sort of refund for this

I’m more upset that I’m not really happy with the dress than the sale. I get it, but I’m still bummed. I saw the picture of me in my dress afterwards and I just think… ick, I’m going to have pictures of myself in this all day.

Hmm…I don’t know. David’s Bridal may have very specific rules about this policy, and it would be worth checking the receipt.
Other stores definitely do honor price reductions if they happen with a certain time from. I know Costco will provide a refund if a price reduction happens within 30 days.

@kellsweddingbells: Aw, that’s really frustrating!
Do you have a picture of the dress? Bees are really good at reassuring those with dress regret!

I don’t know the states laws but I was told once by a math teacher that most stores have a 30 day price match guarantee. It can’t hurt to ask. Some credit cards also have this guarantee so it depends how you paid for it too.
