@TogetherThroughLife:  Ah yes, I was thinking of the burnout pattern one.  Do you have the model number for yours?  I want to zoom in on the lace.

I think that dress looks great on you!  I had dress regret and ended up buying a $99 gown from David’s Bridal clearance, and I feel much happier now.  Ask yourself what you dislike about your dress.  For me, I didn’t feel confident in my original dress because it was strapless and heavy and a bit too delicate.  My new dress is has a halter strap, is lightweight, and is not as delicate.  I feel more confident in it, even though both dresses are beautiful.

So, in my case, dress regret was due to the lack of confidence I felt when wearing my dress, not due to how I looked in the dress.  Does that make any sense?  πŸ™‚

If you stick with this dress, and if you don’t love it, maybe you can add some accessories (a bolero, or some jewelry, or a bow or something).  Sometimes, a little addition can make you feel happier about the dress.  Good luck!  Either way, I think you look great in this dress.

@TogetherThroughLife:  The dress is beautiful!!   I didn’t have a crying omg moment. The dress I chose is beautiful and I do love it, but I wasn’t overly emotional or anything. I made fun of my mom because she tends to be a little sappy and she didn’t cry when I came out in it. lol. Maybe jazz up the dress a little and make it more you? Try some fun shoes or a sash or jewelry or something to make it more personal and maybe youll fall in love with it? Also, having it altered may help you feel like it is more perfect when it fits you the way it should! πŸ™‚

That dress looks lovely on you.

Not everyone will swoon and cry when they find THE DRESS. That’s a lie promoted by the WIC. Sometimes you just find a dress that looks really great on you, and wear it. No one will know the day of your wedding whether there were waterworks in the fitting room when you found it.

How about getting a nice sash to wear with it? It looks fine as is, IMO, but that might make you feel a little better about having a dress that wasn’t expensive and can’t be returned. Actually, with the money you saved, you could do a whole lot with it, including adding sleeves, altering the silhouette, adding beading, dyeing it, etc etc etc. I wouldn’t suggest it, since it looks so pretty now—but you could!

ETA: I bought my dress from the internet, sight-unseen. When it came in, it didn’t even fit! Talk about dress regret…The first time I put it on, I wanted to cry for completely different reasons!

@TogetherThroughLife:  I worried and worried over my dress choice. I thought I’d f’ed up. But 5 mos later, i went to get my dress (today) and I fell completely in love with it. I didn’t cry the first time when I bought it, but today, for some reason, it was sparkling and beautiful and I jus cried. Couldn’t help it.

So maybe after some alterations, it iwll come to life for you.

I think you look beautiful in that dress!

I felt the same way when I bought mine. My mom got excited and emotional but I didn’t. I just felt like ok this is everything I’ve been looking for (I had tried on a lot of dresses…) so this is the one. I also had so many second thoughts after buying it and looking at the pics of me in it made me not like it. Then I went back to try it on again when they happened to get my sample size in. The last time I had it on was when my actual dress came in and I knew it was the one! I felt confident and I loved it.

@HappySky7:  I didn’t cry when I bought my dress! I just smiled really big and felt like a million bucks and got a lot of compliments from the staff.

I like your dress, how about a gorgeous blingy hairband? I think that would look super chic!
