Oh this is so pretty!  I love the sparkle on the top part and the flowers in the ballgown partion.  Great find!

I think the back is looking great as is, but if you feel more comfortable having a corset, you should try to alter it. It’s a really pretty gown, and you will definately make a statement 😀

That is such a dramatic dress! Gorgeous. I think a corset back would look good, but that may be a pricey alteration because it looks like there is a lot of beading and detail going on back there that a seamstress would need to remove/re-do/work around.

Gorgeous dress!! I second Elolith, I love the back the way it is, but this is YOUR dress, if you’re more comfortable with a corset, go right ahead!

The back looks great, and a corset would look good too.  I am wondering if changing it to a corset back would be an alteration made later or while the dress is being constructed?

Congratulations!! Gorgeous dress!!

From an aesthetic perspective, I think the current back looks beautiful and goes perfectly with the beaded bodice and the full, textured skirt. It’s difficult to say whether adding the texture of a corset would compete with, instead of enhance, the look of the rest of the gown. I think I would choose to keep the current look.

Also, from a more practical perspective, there is one additional factor you may want to consider. As beautiful as a corset back is, it will take more time for someone to help get you into and out of your gown if your maids have to lace up a corset a few times that day.  I just had a zipper hidden beneath a row of silk-covered buttons, and I still ended up losing a lot of time on my big day just getting into and out of my gown to use the ladies’ room several times. (I know many brides just keep the gown on during that process, but I didn’t want to do that.)

I would also leave the back, the dress is all over stunning!
