I have been researching dresses mainly through Jasmine and Dressilyme and have bookmarked a bunch of styles. However, I have not ever tried on any dresses in person until this past weekend.
After trying a few on (less than 30 min!), I found a dress on sale in my size….and decided to buy it!! I am the kind of person that loves a million different kind of dress styles and can easily fall in love with a dress (so I do not have a particular “vision”/style).
I was able to negotiate the price down a bit further and got a special price for alterations and bustling as well. I was initially going to go with Jasmine but this dress was about 150$ more expensive than a Jasmine dress, so I thought I would pay extra for the added security of knowing that it actually fits my body/being able to see the dress in person.
I have heard stories of dress regret but I really hope that I won’t have any….!! (i am guessing I will not since as mentioned earlier I love many different styles).
Excuse the bad lighting. This is an Anjolique dress. (older discontinued style, hence the sale price) I feel like a princess in this dress However, the bodice is a bit tight so I would like to lose 5 to 10 pounds before my wedding (10 months away, so hopefully I can achieve this!)

hi bees, thank you very much for your kind words.
While this may not be my “dream dress” (ideally, if money did not count, I would want something very frilly and over the top), I still love it and hopefully my fiance will too 🙂
Hopefully I can get better photos of it later (store lighting isnt good) so in the photos it is hard to see all the bead details.
I was thinking of accessories
1. blue shoes: would this look strange with how ‘traditional’ the dress looks? (in my mind, blue shoes look nicer with more modern dresses….or is there no such rule?)
2. I was thinking of not wearing a necklace due to the detailed bodice. What do you bees think? Or perhaps only bracelets and no necklace? I plan on having long (but dainty) chandelier earrings because I cannot tolerate overly heavy earrings.
