Ok, so my mom isn’t very pleased that I bought the dress without trying it on. 🙂 I tried on a trumpet style by Pronovias and thought the Galante dress would look great on even if I didn’t try it. Man, am I nervous for it to come in early March! I met another bride here who bought the dress and it was nice to see pics of an actual person who bought the dress but still…
Anyone else bought a dress without trying it on?

Wow, that’s a really beautiful dress! I would go try one on, just for fun and so you aren’t surprised. That’s a hard shape to pull off for most girls!

I did! I bought mine online at bridepower.com and the dress was nowhere to be found near my house. I love it in person although I need to lose a bit of weight (but I knew that already) in order for it to fit!

If your silhouette is similar to the model’s I wouldn’t get worried. I did buy mine without trying it on, but I look remarkably like the person who was modelling it in the picture I saw.

I almost did, but honestly I couldn’t throw that money into someone’s hands without trying it on several times… 4 to be exact lol!

I certainly don’t have the model’s body but I do have a similar curvy shape and height (I’m 5’11.) I am working like mad on my midsection which needs to tighten up before the dress arrives in early March. I had dreams about this dress from the moment I saw it so I pray it’s really ‘the one’!

Well good luck, it’s certainly a beautiful gown and if you love it- you’ll look gorgeous in it! It’s all about how YOU feel in your gown! :o)

I did! I couldn’t try my dress on because the sample was too small. 🙁 Luckily I had tried enough dresses on to know that it was the right shape. I probably wouldn’t have done that if I couldn’t see the dress. Since they had it in the store I could check out the details and knew it was the dress for me. They had dresses from same designer with a similar cut, but different fabrics/embellishments.

I hope it is everything you hope it to be!
Can’t wait to here how it turns out in March!

The back of that dress is FABULOUS! If I was built like the model, I might’ve bought it without trying it on too! 😛

*raises hand* Me! I bought my dress without trying it on! I didn’t have any one to go try on dresses with so I didn’t try on ANY dresses until mine came into the bridal shop! I shopped online with my mom (she was in another state so hard to go shopping in person together), and then I went to a shop that sold the designer but they didn’t have any samples that I could actually try on. The lady had me try on a dress that was somewhat similar, though it was way too big on me and I didn’t even have all my clothes off so I really didnt get any idea of what the dress would look like on me other than the color. It turned out fine for me 🙂 I did have dress doubts, and completely hated how it looked on me for awhile, but by the wedding day I loved it. I’m still not sure if it was the PERFECT dress out there for me, but there’s just so many it’s hard to say!! Good luck 🙂

Beautiful dress! I think since you tried on dresses with a similar silhouette you will be fine.
I found one dress I loved online but couldn’t find a store that carried it so that I could try it on. I didn’t have the guts to purchase it without even being able to see it in person!

Gorgeous dress. You’re tall so you should be able to pull it off. First thing I thought when I saw the pic was, pretty! but full on the bottom. I would never be able to pull it off (but I’m 5’2 on a good day and that is a dress that would wear me!). If you can tho, I’d find a place that has it and try it on to set your mom at ease 🙂
