Definitely not!

Do what has significance for the two of you, and skip the rest 🙂

@Nola: WE had the extra garter and we just attached tons of lottery tickets to it and did the same with a silk boquet. Then we just asked all the guys and then all the girls  who wanted to get lucky tonight to come up and try to grab it..no akward going under my dress for me!! and everyone loved it!!

Nope – you don’t need them! We’re skipping both. We’re having a 75-person wedding, and like you, I’ve always hated being called out in front of others for the bouquet toss. And I decided I could do without Fiance going up my dress in front of the small group of people we’ll have there.

I had never heard of not doing them until I went to a wedding last year and bride said they wouldn’t be doing either and the whole room let out a collective sigh of relief. It was so nice to not be singled out (read: hide in the bathroom with 5 other girls) and be able to just enjoy myself. We will not be doing either one.

God, no!  We’re not doing either one, and at roughly 3/4 of the weddings I’ve been to they didn’t either.

We didn’t do either one and it really wasn’t missed.  I think people enjoyed the time more dancing, etc.

We skipped both in our wedding.  It just wasn’t my thing.  I don’t think anyone minded.
