i think it kinda depends on the placement of your belt, the size of your bouquet, and where you hold your flowers. obviously, a larger bouquet is going to cover more.

if your belt is higher up (like right below your boobs), make sure you hold your bouquet down where your belly button is. i see a lot pics of brides (including me) who carry their flowers kinda high. i wish someone had told me to be mindful of that because i thought it looked kinda weird.

i’m assuming a teardrop bouquet is similiar to a cascade, so yeah, it will cover some of your dress. when i met with my florist they told me to be careful about picking flowers with longer stems (i.e. calla lillies) or cascading bouquets because 1.) i’m short and a “long” bouquet could look odd, and 2.) it could cover/compete with the detailing of my dress.

but it’s not like you’re not going to be carrying your bouquet for entire day, so you’ll be able to show off your dress after the ceremony 🙂

You’ve got a great answer already there but I just thought I’d add that it’s worth keeping the bouquet in mind at some point while you try on your dress. I know you won’t have your bouquet, but have a look at your dress and where you can hold your hands to minimise covering the parts you want to show off. This is useful anyway to figure out the best way to hold it for formal photos etc so you don’t find afterwards it looks a bit silly. It’s not something we normally have to do so it doesn’t come automatically to know the best way to go about it 🙂
