I don’t suggest going with ALL hydrangeas, but purple hydrangeas are beautiful and inexpensive. They make lovely bases for boquets. Here are some boquets with a lot of hydrangea:

And here’s a bouquet that’s actually nothing BUT hydrangeas. 🙂

I have similar colors. My colors are eggplant purple, sage green, and royal blue, but we are only using white and purple for the bouquets.

I am doing white ranunculus, purple anemones, and picasso mini calla lilies. It will be somewhat like the pic below, but less anemones, more ranunculus, and with the picasso callas in it.

And the Picasso Calla Lilies:

Conversely, if you want mostly white, you can do white hydrangeas with a scattering of purple flowers:

And then plain white hydrangeas for the bridal party:

I love the look of deep purple calla lillies. Something like this:

Although, I’m not sure of the cost of calla lillies.

Baby’s breath is a nice white and cheap flower.

@angela85:  I don’t know about the purple ones, but white calla lillies are about $13 per stem. :/

Are you planning on using a florist or buying in bulk online and assembling the bouquets yourself?

That’s a HUGE price difference in some cases.

$13 per stem for white calla lilies?!? If you buy them online from here, they are as low as $2.42 per stem for the large ones: http://www.growersbox.com/catalog/calla-lilies-582/

You could also consider going the silk route – I have a similar color scheme (deep purple, sage green) but am using puple and white for my bouquet and white/green for bridesmaids (they have purple dresses).  We basically just played around at Michaels and while I was ridiculously skeptical at first, if you choose the right flowers it can look very very real….I’m very excited about mine!  With the sale and coupons, we got flowers for all the bouqets, boutoniers, and centerpeices at the reception for less than $200.

@Mrs. Fireworks:  It would probably be lots cheaper for her to do them herself. The $13/stem is the quote through a florist. So after seeing your link, I’m sure there’s definitely some markup going on there. However, that’s if you buy them in BULK. I don’t think she wants to spend almost $300 on 120 lillies. Everything is always cheaper in bulk.
