My FI and I are recently engaged, and we’re trying to get our budget in order. I know flowers tend to be a huge budget buster, so I was wondering what the other options are. I do’nt like the brooch bouquets, but am fairly open to other non-traditional bouquets. I want to incorporate peacock feathers, but not too over-the-top. I’d appreciate your opinion in the poll below! Let me know what you did with your bouquets to save money 🙂

I’m doing parasols for the BM’s instead of bouquets. The parasols are about $7;8 with shipping and totally fit with their dresses (which I got from Mod Cloth). I’m doing a bouquet for me though. An option to save money is a wildflower bouquet, which I think is gorgeous!!

Costco and Sam’s Club have some bulk flowers that, if you have family helping you out, could make beautiful bouquets yourself. I priced out the bulk DIY way and actually had a florist that came really close to my budget (this was after I was rejected by 3 florists for not meeting their $2,500 minimum). I ended up going with the florist that was really open-minded, just a couple hundred over initial budget, for the sake of less stress.
I did however, attend a wedding that had silk flower bouquets… and I could not tell at all! It was only because the bride told me.
Best of luck on your decision!

@LaurenKK, thanks for your input!! I love parasols idea, but we’re having an evening church wedding, so probably not an option :
@happybbbeee thank you! I’ll probably end up shopping around florists to see if there’s anyone who can work with my budget. If not, I’ll probably go the silk route. Silk flowers last longer than real ones anyway 😉
Thanks again, ladies!!

I’m planning on doing a boquet for myself with different flowers that I like (hydrangeas, peonies, etc.) and my bridesmaids are going to have pretty simple boquets, at first I was thinking babies breath, but now I’m leaning towards lavender and something else. There are cheap options out there for great looking flowres!
