Just tagging this post to see replies.  I’m not doing a bouquet toss either, so I’m wondering what other brides are doing.

I do have one suggestion, why not “dry” your toss bouquet and the grooms bout, make a shadow box to display in your home? Add the toss & bout, your wedding invitation, even your cake topper in the shadow box, you will have it for years to come and get to look back on your very special day.

Maybe just dry it out and display in a shadow box in your home with an invite or your garter?

This is still a bouquet toss, but someone posted an idea once I really liked (although we aren’t doing a bouquet toss, but if I was, I’d do it this way…).

They attached a pretty good-sized gift card and invited ALL the ladies out on the dance floor for the bouquet toss. They did the same with the garter, invited all the guys out and they were competing for a gift card.

I thought it was a pretty fun way to make it not spotlight singles only and also a way to get people really INTO it.

I gave my bouquet to my aunt who just recently lost her husband (and they are the definition of true love)

We did a bouquet and garter toss, but since most of my guests are married, we let all the ladies be present for the bouquet and all the guys present for the garter toss.  Everyone participated and had fun.

perhaps give it to the person who traveled the longest to be there? instead of an anniversary dance, perhaps have one and whittle down the guests by length of travel time?

@JerseyBride2014:  what you could do is have the bouquet broken up, and give it to the 2-5 people who are near and dear. (I’m against a full speech/ intorduction though as it could get too personal/ too lengthy)
