The only wedding I went to didn’t have one. I’m not going to lie, I was pretty disappointed because that was something that I thought all weddings had!

Well, I didnt get any bouquets (that I can remember) BUT my Fiance caught the garter at the last two weddings we went to! So, I guess it worked in that sense ๐Ÿ˜‰

Funny I actually hadn’t thought about this – but a friend of mine got married in October and I caught her bouquet. I got engaged in December ๐Ÿ™‚

I caught it and even though I’m still waiting to get engaged it looks like I’ll be the next one. Nobody I know of who was there has been married since. It’s been 15 years…I think I jinxed everybody! o.O

I used to try and avoid it as well.  The last time I was dragged into participating, I caught the bouquet and among the group of friends that was at that particular wedding, I was the next to get engaged.  ๐Ÿ™‚

I caught it, but was at several other weddings after. The bride kinda threw it right at my face actually…..

Ok I dont think I was exactly the very next to get married but I caught a bouquet once 6 years ago and I am currently engaged to the person who caught the garter at the same wedding. The groom at that wedding is my cousin and my now fiancé’s best friend from high school. my now fiancé was living in different state at the time. we had never met but we were paired up together as bridesmaid and groomsmen to walk down the isle etc. We enjoyed the night but neither of us thought anything of it and didn’t start dating until he moved to the same city a little more than 2 years ago. I’m a believer and will definitely toss my bouquet. We are sending pics from that wedding as our save the date. Even if it doesn’t come true, it is still fun for the hopeful romantics. Positive  thinking can be magnetic.

P.S. I also made the engagement chicken for my fiancé about 1 month before we got engaged. May not help but it couldnt hurt.

@aliavenue:  I didn’t catch it and was the next to get engaged, however my Fiance caught the garter and was the next to be engaged.  The lady who did catch it shoved me out of the way at the last minute because she assumed I was already married by the way my Fiance and acted.

@Juliepants:  +1 I feel the exact same way about the bouquet toss and never once attempted to catch it – even if it dropped right in front of me I’d just walk the other way haha.

I caught bouquets twice- when I was 8 and 14, and got married at 40, so needless to say I was NOT the next bride for either. ๐Ÿ™‚
