Hey all! I’m newly engaged, and brand new to weddingbee! We’re getting married next August, 2013 – and while I was out shopping “just for fun” with my Maid/Matron of Honor, I found my dress!! It’s a beautiful chiffon strapless ballgown, with sweetheart bodice – the main detail is a band at the waist that is jeweled and crystalled… My concern is with carrying a bouquet down the aisle – it’ll hide the details of my dress… but I REALLY want to have a bridal bouquet.. any suggestions outside of the box – or even if it matters if I carry it off to the side rather than straight in front??
Thanks in advance!! 🙂

How about carrying a single, beautiful flower?? Or just a small bouquet??? Honestly, i did not expect my bouquet to be that big and i think it would work better with a little smaller one

I wouldn’t worry about it, it’s not like the bouquet is a permanent fixture

I would have a bouquet, To me and this is just my opinion , it makes you look and feel like a bride.
Have shots with and shot without that way you’ll be able to see the detail in your dress.

Thanks! I think too that a bouquet is part of the whole “feeling like a bride” aspect- and good points that my pics can show off my detail – same with later in the night. I’ll definitely look into a smaller bouquet – thanks guys!!

Defiitely carry whatever bouquet you want – unless you’re holding it directly to your waistline, which no one does, it won’t hide your dress. And everyone will have hours to see your lovely gown without the bouquet, so enjoy carrying your flowers for that one minute 🙂

Just a reminder.. you won’t be holding your bouquet during the ceremony, anway, so you’ll be sure to get some good detil shots. :]
