Hi everyone, I’m a little confused. We’re planning to do the bouquet/garter toss, but is the guy who catches the garter and the girl who catches the bouquet supposed to do something together? I’ve heard all kinds of “traditions” ( like they’re supposed to dance a song together, the guy is supposed to put the garter on HER leg, etc.), just wondering what ya’ll are planning. Thanks 🙂

@Future_USMC_Wifey:Hmmm I’ve heard they’re supposed to have a quick *fun* dance. We plan on doing the Anniversary Dance and giving the couple who’s been married the longest a gift certificate.

I wouldn’t make him put the garter on her leg–that can get to be a heapful of awkwardness fast. Actually…I would consider not making them dance, either. Have you heard about attaching lottery tickets or a gift certificate and having all the ladies and/or all the men try to catch them?

We didn’t do anything, especially since kids caught both! We figured we wouldn’t make them do anything awkward, it’s hard enough to get them all up there to catch the garter or bouquet!
