Hey all! Quick question. I understand it’s customary to provide boutonnieres for the father of the bride and the father of the groom. Are these supposed to be similar to the groomsmen boutonnieres or closer to the groom’s? Also, is the best man supposed to have a a slightly more elaborate boutonniere as well?
So many details I never thought about ahh!
Thanks for your help!

Psp2015: That’s all personal choice. I wanted my FIs bout to be different, so it’s a bit more elaborate than the Groomsmen, all of the Groomsmen, best man included have the same bout. Then the father/grandfather bout is a combo of the grooms and Groomsmen.
I wanted them all to look similar, but be different.
Father/grandfather & Groom bout
They are all different, but similar. Hope that helps?

Any of those options are fine. The dads and groomsmen wore the same bouts (yellow freesia), and my husband had a yellow freesia and a small ivory rose (both flowers were in my bouquet).

We are using the same flowers, but they will all look different – they will all have a red calla lily.
FI’s bout is the flower with a stem and leaf on the side. The Groomsmen have the flower with just the stem (no leaf). Our dad’s/Grandpa’s will have the flower with a piece of grass folded behind it.

Psp2015: i think its up to you. if you want the bouts to differ from eachother thats fine, if you want them to match, thats fine too.
For our wedding, the groomsmen and father of the groom had matching bouts and my Darling Husband had a white colored flower as his bout to match my bouquet

I think ours are all going to be the same, but i’m not 100% sure. I just told the florist to do a purple/white wildflower mix for the bouts so I guess I’ll be surprised!
