We’re doing a pretty casual wedding. The GM’s are wearing sportcoats and slacks instead of suits or tuxes, and the ushers are just wearing shirts and ties instead of any kind of coat. So my question is, do they need boutonnieres? I’m not sure how they’d look pinned on just a shirt, since there won’t be a lapel to pin them to. The guys will NOT care, they’d probably rather they didn’t have them just because 2 of them will probably whine that they have to wear flowers and pink and eew. ^_^ It seems like it’d make it easier on the guests to tell that they’re the ushers, but they’ll be wearing matching outfits so would that be enough? Anybody got pictures of guys with boutonnieres on with no coat?
