Hey Ladies,

bow tie. I love the look of a classic tux 🙂
Bow ties are either super formal or quite informal (if you’re going the hipster/rustic direction). Ties seem to be somewhere in the center. So I think it has more to do with the feel of your wedding.
I myself like the idea of the tie (I think my Fiance likes bow tie). 🙂 So we cancel each other out, but my opinion is tie!
I think it depends on what you both want. Though an undone bow tie around your man’s neck can look very sexy at the end of the night (wink, wink)
We decided on ties rather than the normal cravates, (which alot of people in the UK go for as they can be hired with the suit). I bought the ties from Dessy as they match the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, here are the ties and the pocket squares. I know it’s probably more expensive to buy the ties but I couldn’t resist;
Personally I don’t like bowties, and neither does the husband.
But in your case, I would leave the decision entirely up to him.
Our colors are red and aqua/tiffany blue/whatever people want to call that color, lol.
What are yours?
I say have your Fiance try on both styles and let him decide! =) Even though I LOVED the bowtie, it did nto suit Fiance, my Fiance doesnt have much of a “Long/Lean” neck, so it made him look like a football player! LOL!
And it really depends on the formality your going with!
Tux/Bow Tie is pretty formal!
I want Fiance to wear a bowtie, but I think he’s leaning towards tie.
I think my husband and our groomsmen looked great in their bowties.
DH wore a bowtie as well. We had a 30’s theme though, so it was very fitting. They looked very formal and fantastic!
I prefer ties, but Fiance likes bowties, so that is what we are going with.
