I have been going over this so much lately and I’m going crazy. I want my groomsmen to wear ties for the wedding and the idea is like the normal thing to do, and well while picking out tuxedos the consultant said how are you all going to distinguish the best men from the groomsmen and I got to thinking, well my MOH’s are wearing a different dress from the BM’s so yeah how will we seperate the two. I thought bow ties, but everyone is saying no to that idea. My husband is wearing an ivory tie and the groomsmen are wearing perisimmon ties, so what do you all think about the best men wearing perisimmon bow ties?

Voted for the bow tie, however I’m having a second thought
If anyone stands out it should be the groom. If the groom is wearing the same ties as thE Groomsmen then its going to look off a little

I think it might look a little off. You could give him a different boutonnière than the others to distinguish him. Is your Maid/Matron of Honor dress a different color from the rest? If so you could have the Bridesmaid or Best Man tie color match that.

I hate bow ties, so I voted for ties. However, is your Maid/Matron of Honor wearing the same color as everyone? For instance, my colors are Regency (purple), lavender and off white. My Maid/Matron of Honor is wearing a lavender dress with a regency sash and the BMs are wearing a regency dress with lavender…
All the groomsmen are wearing black suits, BUT the best man’s vest and tie are lavender. The groomsmen are wearing regency.
My fiance is wearing all off white. His boutennier will be purple.

you can do whatever you’d like. We’re having all the groomsmen in euro ties, including the groom but the dads will be in bow ties to distinguish. I don’t think it will look wrong at all to have the best man in bow ties, I kind of like the idea, especially since you have oyur Maid/Matron of Honor in a different dress tahn the BMs.
