Hi, we are considering the Bowery Hotel.  Were you able to negotiate the price at all?  It’s such a gorgeous spot we are hoping to make it work.

I have my wedding booked for Feb at the Bowery – so excited the space is amazing!!

one way to save with them which they were up front about right away is the bar –

they charge a crazy amount per person per hour – but if your party is not big drinkers you are able to set a guarentee and then have the bar open and run a tab that you need to meet by the end of the night.

I am not using their in house caterer since I am using a kosher caterer – so can’t give any opinion about the food.

I will let you know all the photographers they recommended were earlier very expensive or too pushy – 4 eyes especially – he was trying to double book appts just to meet with us..

The Bowery Hotel is very cool! Do you know what the guest max is there?

Did you find a photog yet? I have three that I really love and come highly recommended from a friend who works for a major wedding studio  From what I can tell these photographers have a distinct style that makes them different. I’ll try to describe them but it’s probably better if you just take a look at their stuff yourself.

http://www.angelicaglass.com  more for a quirky, off beat type of bride? She calls it the cheeky bride. Like if you’re going to wear sneakers with your gown and are tatted up, she’s for you.

http://susanstripling.com Very artistic and stylish. She’s got lots of awards.

http://www.gemasana.com gives you photos of your real moments with lots of emotion in them. Kind of modern and classic at the same time. Timeless.

We have our photo booked – thanks for the recommendations though.  we are using robert and kathleen photography.

the only big thing left to book is flowers and decor –

I think you can have up to 200-250ish.

we are having 125.  It all depends how you are doing the seating and arrangement of everything.  they are really creative.

if you are loving all the photos you see online it is worth the trip to take a look.
