(Closed) Bowties but No Vests?

I’m not sure of your intent. Will the guys be wearing a tux?

It is not uncommon to wear a tux without a vest, instead wearing a cummerbund.

From a blog post:

Single breasted: cover the waist with a vest or cummerbund
Double breasted: no need for cummerbund. You can wear a vest if you wish.

Because you do not wear a belt with tuxedo pants (they have no belt loops) men should wear a cummerbund or a vest to cover the waist of the pants.

I asked my FH, and he said “If he was smart enough to pick a ring for her, he’s smart enough to pick his own suit”.

I thought the male perspective was pretty good!
