Red delicious is seriously delicious. We have nothing against it and like to slum every now and then. Lol. We also like Reunite Lambrusco. Yum!

We usually get boxed wines when we go to the outdoor theatre, camping or up to the cabin. But we’ve gotten some recently just to have some around the house for simple dinners.

Some faves:

Bota Box- Malbec, Cabernet, Pinot Grigio

Yellow and Blue- Malbec

Clif- The Climber…which is cool cause you could hang it from a caribiner. But I don’t think drunk climbing is a good idea. Cabernet

I’ve tried a lot of different ones, and the only brand I can handle is Black Box. The Bota Boxes give me wicked hangovers (even from a glass or two — I think they add pure poison to those things), Franzia tastes cheap, and Fish Eye is some combination of Bota and Franzia. I’ve tried a couple of other brands, but I can’t remember them off the top of my head.

@shaka:  Hilarious! I have no suggestions, but that picture had me laughing.

@SincerelyShe:  I used to be a much bigger cheerleader for Black Box, but I think I’ve burned myself out. I’ve been drinking the BB Chardonnay for the last several years and I think I’m just sick of it. It’s definitely not as good as some by-the-bottle stuff that I’ll buy if I want to spend more money, but for the price I think it’s worth it. I used to also really like the BB Malbec, but I haven’t tried that in a year or so. I’ve only tried one other — the Pinot Grigio which is okay, but bland-tasting to me.

It’s not a box wine, but if you like a sweet red (and I am definitely a snob), $10 gets you Vintner’s Red, and it is DELICIOUS. Don’t get the white, though, it’s pretty awful. I actually jsut came home with 4 bottles because I had a rain check from a BOGO at publix, and I they’d only had two left the first time.
