This is my first weddingbee post, but I just had to share since I gathered my inspiration for my invitation packaging after pouring over the posts of other bees full of great ideas! The hunt for the perfect invitation was only the beginning – we then had to find the perfect way to package and ship them! I was at a complete loss until I found my way to weddingbee and was amazed by the creative ideas that all the bees were sharing!
We found our idea of the perfect wedding invitation on etsy.com (who doesn’t love etsy?!) from a seller called wood chick studios (www.etsy.com/people/woodchickstudios). They do amazing invitations of real wood! The Fiance loves all things wood and we instantly knew these were the invites for us. Wood chick studios was abosultely wonderful to work with. When the invites came, we were so excited – here are photos:
We then had to decide how to package them and we went through several (and I mean – SEVERAL) options before choosing to gather the invite and enclosures in a coordinating envelopment pocket and decorating the pocket with some string, some pretty paper and a stick-on jewel. Photo:
We then hunted for the perfect box to pull the whole package together. I became obsessed with the idea of a boxed invitations after falling in love with several beautiful boxed invitation projects done here by other bees. Its such a classic idea and seemed like such a special touch! We added coordinating ribbon and created a silouette of a girl and boy and added our initials for a touch of personalization:
Here is the finished result! Thank you to all the bees who are generous with their great ideas for inspiring these – we loved them and the guests cannot stop raving about them!
