Just for the record, the SSA ranks the names as follows re: popularity in 2009 (latest data available):
I’m ignoring West and Fletcher because we’ve since deleted them from our list. So Cooper was the most popular name we chose at 84 (for both our girl and boy list). In Texas, none of our names break the top 100. It’s interesting how this varies regionally. And it’s a fine line between a weird name and a name that’s near the top of every list on every website (like Isabella and Jacob). You just never know what’s going to happen with the name you pick. Someone could write a book about vampires and suddenly that character’s name (and your child’s) rockets to the top. 🙂

Okay so crazy, I’ve never heard of a Finn outside of Huck Finn until recently when my cousin decided to name her baby that… now its on your list too!
Anywho.. I like Fletcher 🙂

I agree with CorgiTales… I haven’t heard of a lot of these recently as baby names, so to me they are new! They’re all nice, I like Cooper & Parker. Fletcher makes me think of the movie “Fletch” which I love.

I voted for Miles. I have a 20 yr old friend who is named Joseph Nathan Milesand it’s served him well.

I think Cooper is too much of a common name. But I LOVE the name West!
