    You should post a poll. If I were to see the name written down on a class list or something I would assume it was a boy, although technically it’s probably unisex.

    definetly unisex. ive never in life actually met a sheridan, however sheridan crane was like the main female character on passions, a soap opera that used to come on nbc. im definetly dating myself with that one lol

    @NaijaPuertoDorian:  this! although, it wasn’t on alll that long ago. she was gone for a while, and came back towards the end. I think. maybe? I was watching it when I was in HS until like 2006. man, I miss that.
    But that’s who I think of when I hear Sheridan too.. so for me, girl.

    I would say it’s unisex, though if I were to use it, it’d be for a girl. That’s mostly because I always tend to shorten names, so would probably call them “Sherry” for short (which sounds more like it’d suit a girl than a boy).

    it sounds pretty much unisex to me.

    p.s. omg, i can’t stop myself thinking of sheridan’s coffee layered liquor now.

    It’s unisex, but I prefer it for a girl.

    Sheridan Lopez-Fitzgerald (née Crane; formerly Boothe) from ‘Passions’, anyone?

    I’ve never met a Sheridan, but it sounds like a girl name to me.

    Unisex.

    Just like my name, Morgan.

    Or my sons name, Riley.

    @brighteyedgirl:  that’s exactly what i thought of!

    Because of Sheridan from Passions, I would think it’s a girl name

    I’ve never heard of the name Sheridan but because a PP mentioned the nickname Sherry, I’d lean towards it being a bit more girl than boy.
