Ahh I wouldn’t worry too much! Everyone has their up and down days…

Maybe he was worried about how much the car was going to cost to get fixed?

Boys can get moody just like girls can and maybe he was just in a bad mood or a funk? I’ve had those days… where I am just seriously grumpy for no real reason and I just want to be left to do what I want until it clears.

It sounds like he has a lot going on at the moment and I would just give him a bit of time to think it through.

Good luck!

He’s going to his uncle’s funeral.  I’ve been to dozens of funerals, and it always takes a while for things to sink in.  I usually don’t end up seeming “down” until the day before or even after the funeral.  I would recommend trying to be low-key tonight.  Recognize that no matter how well he’s keeping it together, he’s still grieving.

Guys are so confusing sometimes. I don’t know how many times I’ve asked my guy if everything is okay when he’s being quiet watching tv or just not acting like he just drank 5 cups of coffee. (he’s a very energetic person, lol) I know all guys are different, but with the funeral and probably proposals on his mind, he’s probably just thinking a lot. I think you might be on target by thinking he might have gone to look at rings. If he’s normally very open about where he is and when he’ll be home, my guess is that he doesn’t want you to ask specific questions and bust his shopping trip. I think if he notices you keeping your distance, he’ll realize its bothering you and try to fix it.

I agree wtih @aberry: Definitely give him his space, don’t grill him about it. Get busy with something fun and distracting.

You’re wondering how he could be fine one day and totally different the next….?  HAHAHAHA!

Sorry I had the laugh at the irony of it. I have mood swings all the time and I hear this is typical for women in the waiting stages to be happy one day, overwhelmed the next day πŸ˜‰ It even happens to men sometimes….

@authentic: i think i am going to have to agree with @cyneswith on this one. I think it might just be the weird feeling and sadness that comes with an imminent funeral for a family member… i know with me, even when it’s distant family, i’m usually in a funk before/after. not to be debby downer here, but i wouldnt get your hopes up about ring shopping…

hopefully he snaps out of it so you guys can try out that new bed soon, lol.

Oh yes, I’ve read it! Great book. Also “The Surrendered Single” by Laura Doyle. I love relationship books, can you tell? πŸ™‚
