@Kacey23:  My situation with my husband has been kind of similar for a long time. I grew up in a family that goes to church every Sunday.  My Mom even participates in church activities throughout the week. It has always been more important to me that he is a Christian and loves God than weather or not he went to church, but after a while, it did start to bug me.  I talked to him about it a lot – no pressure or anything, but had to let him know how I felt.  I don’t feel like we have to go every single week, but I do feel like my faith is stronger when I go to a church that inspires me on a regular basis.  It’s also become a little tough as we get older when a lot of our friends are not Christian and it’s great to socialize with other Christians.

One of the reasons it’s been hard to get him to go is because with his work schedule, it’s really hard for him to get up early enough, even for 11 am services.  He also didn’t really care for the pastor at my parents church.  So we started looking for evening services at a new church.  We tried a few and weren’t too excited.  Just this last month we finally found a place we like that has a 5:30 pm service.  He loves the music and the pastor so I think this is a great start.  He also finally let me know that he does think it’s really important to have a regular church when we have kids and for them to have that foundation.  Phew!!!!  It took years for this to happen & it’s still pretty new, but I wanted to let you know that I prayed about it & stayed patient and it finally has started to work out for both of us.  I hope it’s the same for you in the long run!  I do think it’s very important to let him know that it’s important for you, but like you mentioned, pressuring him probably won’t help…  Good luck to you!!
