My boyfriend tried to do some chores before I got home last night. Well, I looked inside the dryer and found four of my sweaters spinning around. It was so sweet of him to help out but I really had to take a deep breath before saying anything!

I forgot there were some bras in there too! Lol

Oh goodness. I told my boyfriend if he ever tried to wash my clothes I would be extremely irritated with him. He puts everything in the dryer on HIGH. I would have to go buy all new clothes if he ever did that.

I wash my sweaters and bras. Together. Maybe I just don’t care.
Edit: Dryer, too!

Yeah my husband ruined one of my favorite sweaters last winter when he was doing laundry to be helpful. The concept of reading tags for washing instructions never occurred to him.

lol I can’t get Fiance to touch the laundry hardly. he will put clothes in the washer and forget about them for a day and then we have to rewash, so it’s better that he doesn’t touch it!

@minniemluv: Eek, that sucks! My SO and I do laundry together all the time, so when he does my laundry for me he knows to take out all the blouses/sweaters/bras for me.

I take care of he laundry now. Fiance did the laundry once and instead of using detergent he put in fabric softener loll I then had to do it all over again.

After having a similar experience, we have a rule- if there’s any doubt, leave it out (of the dryer)! Also, anything in the mesh zipper bags gets hung or laid flat to dry.
Hope everything still fits!

I bought this super cute white sundress that I wore ONCE. My SO was being thoughtful and ran it through the wash and dryer. Now it’s a super cute white sundress for someone 4 inches shorter.

lol at least he tried?! we’ve definitely had some moments like that in our house but I NEVER say anything bad – I have learned not to or else the help stops!

Omg, I’d die! My Fiance tried cleaning last week, but that consisted of shoving things in our already full closets…ugh. Boys! It’s the thought that counts I guess….

Good to hear I’m mot alone! I calmly told him that while I appreciate him trying to help, I would prefer he wash & dry his own clothes instead of mine. With his stuff, there’s nothing to ruin.

This is why Darling Husband is not to touch the laundry! He was going to switch out laundry for me this past weekend & I stopped him before he went to the laundry room. Told him he doesn’t know what needs to be hung up of mine so I will do it…

hahaha oh my – I’m the one that’s banned from doing laundry around here! One time, I accidentally put a pen in with the whites. Do you know what happens when you put a pen in the washer?? Also, I always just toss everything in the washer into the dryer. My Fiance always comes up to me and asks me if I checked to make sure I took out BOTH of our shirts that will shrink out. Whoops, I always forget! So, the rule is – he washes, I fold.
