Good question. I can’t wait to hear some of the answers. When they alter my dress, I think they are able to put a bra in – so I don’t know that I have to worry about it.
Then, there is always VS who has every type of bra imaginable 🙂

well I don’t know if you just need a strapless bra or a corset/longline style that comes all the way down to your waist but you can get a regular strapless bra in any department store.

@marchbride26: What was the cup size? Just move up a band size and you should be fine. Cup size (A, B, C) stays the same – the number in front is what you should be looking at. For example, if the 32 was too tight, get a 34 or 36. Make sure to try them on with your dress though, if you can, because different brands fit differently. If David’s has the exact same bra with a larger band, why not get that?
EDIT: In a pinch, if you don’t want to risk shopping around and buying a bra that won’t hide under the dress like the one they showed you, you can get the original bra you tried on with it and just buy a band extender at any department or lingerie store. They’re just an extra piece with bra hooks, so that you can get a few more inches out of a too-small band.

This is what I ended up getting for underneath my dress from Macy’s in the color nude and it’s super comfortable.
Other department stores too have bras and shapewear if you decide to go that route. Good luck and hope this helps!

Hi! Don’t freak out 🙂 I’m at 5 weeks from my wedding and I just figured my bra out. I posted about it here, but the short story is that herroom.com is awesome. A thousand different styles (and a variety of size), and they let you order a ton and return the ones you don’t like or that don’t fit.

Do you have to have a bra? My dress didnt need one with added cups because it was so structured. Have you considered adding cups?
I did buy one for it and decided not to use it. I searched low back strapless bras and chose one I liked from a store online I never heard of. Its a great bra. It looked a lot like this

i am planning on getting cups sewn into my dress. that way when the dress “wiggles/moves” the bra will go with it. and also the lower back will look great too, since there isnt a bra poking/sticking out.
