I got this dress http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3088780/0~2376776~2374327~6005464~6005465~6028193?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6028193&P=1 by Sue Wong from Nordstrom (obviously…)
I love it, it’s everything I was looking for in a dress. I love wearing it and I had to leave it back home (I’m getting married in my hometown, living far away at the moment) so i wouldn’t just wear it all the time. I love it
Problem: i have no idea what kind of bra to wear with it. That’s not completely true–I have a pretty good idea of what kind of bras NOT to wear with it…. I’m working on loosing my tiny fatty tummy bump (the little “pooch” Jillian talks about in 30DS) but because of that, I’m wanting a long-line/shapewear/corset–something to hold it all in. the problem is with the back. The sheer lace comes down past my elbows in the back (pretty much the lowest spot is just below my waist) and I haven’t found a “backless” long line bra that goes down anywhere near far enough. Sooo…does anyone know of anything? Or should I just get a regular backless bra, the kind that stickies to your sides (or just go w/o? I’m an A cup so it’s not like I need it, i could just have cups sewn in or something) with a shapewear slip or something?
Thoughts? suggestions? ideas? Does anyone else have this problem??

Go with a backless regular bra. And not sure if you know this, go with nude color or closest to your skin tone. Don’t do white! I worked in the lingerie business for 5 years so I have seen everything! White on white stands out 10X more than anything else just because of it’s starkness.

I think you should have cups sew into the dress. You want to be comfortable on our wedding day, you really don’t want to be worried if something is showing or not. And you also don’t want to worry about those cups getting unstuck and falling!

Also, if you do end up getting the cups sewn in, that they fit. Having a small frame and large breasts can be a nightmare. I am a 30G and they did not have large enough cups so it still felt weird. So just make sure that which-ever way you go will be comfortable for you.

I agree with a normal backless bra. Any shapewear would not go low enough on the back to not be seen.

I have the same dress! And I was just researching bras yesterday. i can get away with no bra too, but the dress looks much better with one on (from the front). Are the “normal” backless bras people are talking about ones that stick to you? I’d like to avoid sticking something on myself, if possible.
