Oyyyyy!

How about “Mom, I’d love for you to bring a date – but this particular date will make me feel awkward. Pretty much any guy or girl, straight or gay, in the entire universe would be less awkward than this guy. Humor me, Mom, please?”

@Mrs. Meowerson: Bizarre. At least you told her the aforementioned reasons though, so she SHOULD understand why he isnt welcome.

@mandypop: – Like! 🙂

@Mrs. Meowerson: I think if you really truly can’t fathom the idea of having him there then put your foot down.

There is a possibility of him being polite and courteous while he is attending your wedding? People change when they’re in a more serious setting. Is it possible you and your friends could tolerate/ignore him for one day?

@Mrs. Meowerson: Awkward.  I wouldn’t invite him.  Tell your Mom about the obscene messages etc.

I wouldn’t invite him either. I would reassure my mom that she can bring a date, just not that guy. She should know better if she already knows about all the incidents.

@jacinda10:  Yeah, even like “fun” weddings aren’t really the place for the MOB to look like the “fun” Mom.  She probably just wants him there so she feels young and can be silly and stuff.  I would just tell her that there is no way he is allowed to be her date, and that she can have 2 people in his place (if you can be so nice!)

@Mrs. Meowerson: Well don’t let any of us sway your decisions. Ultimately the choice is yours and your loves. Your mom may not like it but she will get over it. I truly hope everything works out the way you want it to. Good luck hun.
