@abbyful:  we wanted to do classes, however, DH works 2nd shift and we couldn’t find classes available during the day. Instead, the woman suggested a book, and a ton of youtube stuff from other instructors she knew.

I’m so glad we did this. I am starting to feel ready for birth and like I have an amazingly supportive husband.

I guy I work with is doing this with his wife and they love it, they seem very comfortable and prepared for their upcoming birth.

We did it.  I think it probably helped prepare my husband more than me.  I already knew a lot of the relaxation methods from majoring in psychology.  And it probably helped me get through my very long early labor.  Just didn’t help once i was about 7 cm?  Hope you enjoy it!  We had some awesomely old skool videos!

I am planning on taking one as well, so I am interested to see what others have thought about it.  I know a lot of people who planned to have a natural birth, but it didn’t work out for one reason or another.  It seems that the two people I know who were able to go natural were the ones who were really prepared for what labor would entail.  The two of them both took Bradley classes.

@mwitter80:  Can you post some links to the youtube stuff she suggested.  We wanted to take Bradley classes too, but couldn’t find a class time that worked with The Hubs’ schedule.  I’ve read a lot of books, but he’s so much more a visual learner.
