My Partner is so special I knew he was the one from all the ways he makes me feel special and happy.

– He really listens and cares.

-He is redoing his kitchen at our (his) house but he calls it ours b/c I live there with him because he wants me to be comfortable (he had no dishwasher and needed new counters).

-He gives me back massages without complaining.

-He randomly buys me presents.

-He cleans up dishes all the time without me asking and I feel bad lol because he does them more than me.

-He eats what I eat and doesn’t complain about being veg.

-He loves our kitties and calls himself Cat Daddy hehe

-He feeds our kitties without being asked.

-He always takes the stress and burden off of me if I’m feeling overwhelmed without even asking.

-He always pays for dinner.

-He took my car to the shop on his day off without complaining and was happy to do it.

-He fixed my kitchen sink.

-He is my partner in everything.

The list goes on and on and on….

My husband picks me up food ALL the time, and he legitimately has a spreadsheet on his phone called “what she wants” where he stores all of my orders from various food places. He told me about it and I thought he was joking, but he is a video game guy and he works in the industry, so this kind of thing is second nature to him! He says that now he can surprise me, whenever he wants, with literally exactly what I want. It may be the smartest (albiet weirdest) thing he has ever done haha! 🙂

I thought this thread was sweet so I’m gonna revive it a bit.

A friend commented quite recently that she has noticed whenever my SO and I are grabbing food or just hanging out with friends as a group and he has to leave first, no matter who’s present, he’ll lean in to kiss me before leaving on cheek/forehead/lips. She thought it was very sweet and cute. We do that in the AM too before we leave – if I’m asleep, he’ll still come in and kiss me goodbye.

On my end, he still opens doors for me, after 7+ years, I’m amazed. He eats what I cook and then volunteers to do the dishes and wipe down the stove/counters. And when he’s away on trips, he’ll buy me snacks from those countries that he knows I like. He also has a list of our regularly scheduled TV programs so we never miss one. We’re both in med school, so sometimes we study in separate rooms, him in the living, me in the bedroom…he’ll come in after an hour and just sit or lie on the bed and watch me study because he missed me.

I really should marry this guy. tongue-out

toffeeskies :  Thanks, he loved it & was so surprised! The best part was at 3:30 in the morning when we had to drive to our pickup spot for the shuttle bus. So my guy thought I was driving us to the destination, but all I did was drive 5 mins down the road to McDonald’s (the pickup point). He was soo confused, and asked “…what are we doing?” I said, “Well I just really wanted to surprise you for your birthday, hope you like McDonald’s!” 😛 Then shortly after, the shuttle came by and had a picture of a hot air balloon on it, and he figured it out. It was so great to watch his face light up with excitement! 😁
