I love thrift stores, I turn on my ninja mode when I enter the one in the Upper East Side (I’m happy to take it off their rich hands lol). Just to name a few:

– 2 Giorgio Armani work suits in perfect condition @ $39 (they looked like something Alicia in The Good Wife would have worn and she is my work style inspiration along with Amal Clooney and Olivia Pope).

– 1 Burberry huge scarf with very subtle pink and grey print normally $500+ @ $4 (I could not believe my eyes)

– 2 never worn Stuart Weitzman pumps @ $20

– 1 Marchesa cocktail dress @ $13 (too small for me, but it made a great gift for little sis)

I also like online bargains. I got 2 Mark Cross bags (Grace & a bucket bag) in great condition normally $2000+ @ $300 and $50 respectively. The leather is so buttery smooth, I’m in love.

I’ll stop my bragging here 😃

I love a good deal!

My most recent deal was on my wedding dress, actually. I had a very particular style in mind and was trying on every dress I could find that met the requirements (no beads/lace [sensitive skin], strapless, sweetheart, mermaid). I was able to try 3 similar dresses on in the wild, but was looking for a couple more, but none of the local stores had those particular dresses to try on.

On a whim, I went with a friend to a consignment store. Most of the dresses were not my style, and suddenly I found one that was interesting to me. I look up the style number online and it’s one of the dresses I had wanted to try on! Brand new, unaltered, MY SIZE – it had been a sample dress but was in perfect condition. Icing on the cake? The store was closing the next week and everything was going on sale, so I waited and bought the dress at an additional 50% off. I ended up paying $600 for a dress that retails for around $1500.

lajoliebee :  You have the thrift store of my dreams!!!

Keep a look out for Tieks.  I don’t know if you wear flats, but they are the most amazingly comfortable (and pricey) flats.  I’ve heard of several girls snagging them in good thrift stores!

I’m a Poshmark addict. I’ve gotten a $75 Coach wristlet for $25, a $60 pair of Quay sunglasses for $20, a $110 Kate Spade wallet for $25, $100 Betsey Johnson shoes for my wedding for $50, an Apple Watch series 2 for $150. I also recently got a brand new Coach bag on Ebay for $100, original price was $295.

Congrats on the awesome deal! I have a few big deals I’ve gotten lately.

First was my mattress. I was at Macy’s and found a mattress I liked (I need a really firm one due to back issues) and was prepared to shell out the $1700 for it. They ended up having a floor model that they had just put out but had to sell because serta changed the threads from yellow to blue! Same exact mattress (same model number and everything) but because they changed the threads it had to be sold. It was still in the plastic, they hadn’t even gotten it to the floor. I got it for $400 after discounts/coupons.

Next was our cookware. We registered for the Calphalon space saving cookware set. It was around $400, so I knew we wouldn’t get it from anyone, but wanted to put it on the registry so we could get the 20% off. Well, it ran on sale at Macy’s, I went in and got it and with our 20% registry discount and the other coupons we had I paid just under $100 for the set and got a free every day pan and a set of utensils! It was great!

Last, was actually our honeymoon! I bargain shopped the hell out of flights and in just 3 weeks we are going to Greece from Chicago for $1500 round trip for the BOTH of us! And I even upgraded my husband’s seat (he’s still in coach right next to me, but there is no seat in front of him, so he gets the extra leg room) which was a $100 upgrade each way. We are spending the majority of our time in Airbnb’s, we are doing multiple “excursions” (including a private catamaran) on credit card points, and including all transfers we are spending less than $3000 on our honeymoon for 3 weeks island hopping in Greece! Not including what we spend when we get there (food, shopping, etc) but pretty good!

I once bought a brand new washer dryer on craigslist.  $500 when they were $2k new. All it need was a $100 minor repair.  One of my best deals ever.

I am a bargain shopper and I love stores like Winners and Nordstrom Rack. This summer I have bought quite a few things. I got Gucci sunglasses from Nordstrom Rack for $69 regular price $199 and a year ago I bought a Tory Burch purse for $195 regular price almost $600. I also got a pair of Uggs from there for $44!

From Winners I just bought a pair of Silver jeans for $26 regular price $102 and a pair of Buffalo jeans for $22 regular price $89.

We were on vacation last month and I found a boutique MK purse at the Michael Kors outlet. It retails for $368 and I paid $117.
