The other night I was dancing in the living room with our two girls, who are 8 months and 8 years old.  Darling Husband comes in and says “I need to dance with my baby girl!” and I assume he means the baby -who is biologically his.  But he scoops up the older daughter (who is his step-daughter) and danced around the living room with her.  I loved him so much for that- for loving my daughter like his own.

Fiance picks me up every Wednesday from my doctor’s office visits. It’s pretty much the sweetest and kindest thing he could do.

@eeniebeans:  that made me smile!

Last night Fiance had a late meeting and I fell asleep on the couch since I have trouble sleeping in our bedroom when he’s not home (we don’t have a TV in there-I need the noise when I’m alone). I woke up when he got home, but didn’t move so he didn’t know I was awake and all I heard was him say to the dog “good job of taking care of her…I know you can handle things when daddy isn’t home”.

Yesterday we got a new bed frame delivered… Fiance carried all the pieces from the FedEx truck into our house, and then he put the bed together himself!!  My big strong man πŸ™‚

I went to put on a two-strand necklace yesterday morning, and one of the strand was broken. One of the little chain loops came unhooked from another loop. If that makes sense. I fiddled with it for a while and then gave up.

I got home last night and the necklace was laying nicely on my dresser. Darling Husband had pulled out the pliers to open the loop to slip the chain back on. It made me very happy.

Fiance and I live in different states, but he’s still in our hometown.  He went to my niece’s birthday party, with all my extended family– played board games with them and had dinner and they sent me this cheesy video of all of them waving at me.  It melted my cold, grad-school-thesis heart!!

@eeniebeans:  that made me tear up. so beautiful πŸ™‚

My husband is just a rock star to me. He works his ass off, and hardly ever complains. Yesterday was his birthday, and he came home from work early, and kept being super sweet and loving to me, and I kept saying, but babe, its your birthday, I should be pampering you. His response? “but making you happy makes me happy. that’s the best present I could get.”

Heart, officially melted

Today, I left the house a little stressed about the wedding. At 2:55 I was snapping to a co worker and Fiance sent me a text with one of my wigs on dancing saying I had a feeling you were not in a good mood this is to make you smile. Needless to say he made me smile and that is just one of the cute little quirky things he has been doing to keep me happy this week.
