So I can’t wear underwear with my dress so it will all be out.

My photographer is a male so I’ll probably ask him to leave for me to get into the dress and come back in when its on so he can get photos of my mom & sister closing my 99 bridal buttons. I also have no problem getting naked in front of my family/close friends so its sort of a non thought process for me.

I think turning around will do the trick just fine.

I have really great boobs and no shame so i’m probably not the best person to ask.

However, I think what the others have said about pulling the bra off after or turning your back should work.

Or just duct tape your nipples. (disclaimer: please don’t duct tape your nipples)

I wore those sticky bra things that are like giant band aids. My dad tried to walk in as I was getting dressed and I yelled no no no and kicked the door shut. He was very embarrassed. Now I laugh at it. For the other ladies in the dressing room I just kept my back to them.

It was just me with mum, Bridesmaid or Best Man, and photographer (female). I’m quite liberal in my nakedness with my closest friends and family, so the Bridesmaid or Best Man and mum wasn’t an issue. I asked the photographer if she was more comfortable steppingout, as I didn’t really have issue with her being in the room but didn’t want to to put her in a weird situation. She laughed and said that with all the weddings she’s photographed and brides getting into their dresses, nakedness was nothing new.

So yeah…not helpful on the modesty part, but honestly if it’s all girls around — it’s not like they haven’t seen boobs before!

kooshball5 :  I’m fairly conservative and modest.  I had a strapless bra on while I pulled on the dress.  Once the dress was up, I took the bra off underneath it and held the dress while someone zipped me in.  No one saw me and that’s how I wanted it.  I even have an adorable photo of my bridesmaids zipping me up while I held the dress up 🙂

kooshball5 :  This was kind of awkward for me, my photographer wanted shots of me getting into the dress and I was going to be bra less, my father and my little 11 year old sister waiting in the bridal suite too.

I told my father to go in one of the other rooms of the suite and then it was just me, my two sisters and two other bridesmaids and female photographer. It was more awkward by the fact the good light and position was infront of the huge French windows so I felt I was flashing the world.

I just bit together, dropped the robe and stepped into the dress as fast as I could – there are no good photos of this, I wasn’t thinking of looking elegant and posing, I look terrified/double chinned/unhappy etc. I’m sure there’s some weird dangling boob shots I’ve been spared from seeing.

Once in the dress we have some pretty shots of my sister doing up the dress in the back and another bridesmaid holding up the veil.

I would suggest if you want photos of this moment do it staged so you don’t look like a deer in headlights trying to awkwardly cover yourself!

At one friend’s wedding she got ready in the hair dressing salon and myself and one bridesmaid just helped her into the dress in the back room and all the other people stayed in the front and the male photographer didn’t take photos until she was in the dress.

I have never been worried if someone saw my boobs. From my college days until now, I have not worn a bra unless absolutly necessary, so when I was getting dressed and pulled off my sweatshirt, it was no surprise to anyone that they could see my boobs.

kooshball5 :  I believe I stepped into my dress and my helper pulled it up from behind me. All she saw my butt (I had panties on, of course) and my back tattoo… We’re both women so it wasn’t a huge deal.

I surprised my bridesmaids with my dress, none of them had seen it prior besides my sister (MOH). So in the bride’s room it was only me, my sister and my mom helping me get dressed. My photographer was there too (a female) and so yes she saw my boobs but honestly it was a split second and I didn’t really care. So much more I was thinking about in that moment TBH. Also I did competitive dance growing up so i’m very used to changing naked in front of other women.

What do you do at the gym? Do that!

I grew up playing sports so I’ve always shared a locker room and shower with other women so I’m always a little surprised when people are weirded out, but to each their own I guess.

I was able to get ready in the bathroom of our reception room but you could always have your girls stand around you or if you have ever taken your bra on or off under your shirt… you could do that with a tee or tank. Just pull your dress on underneath then remove the tee.

harleybeachbride6 :  Regular comfy underwear lol. I’m not out to impress anyone and I don’t want to be picking a wedge all day. I’m going braless and I’m really not worried about that, but I can see skimpy underwear being a problem if you went that route.

I’ve had a baby – so when i had her I left my pride and dignity in a little bag at the door of the birthing suite and I didn’t pick it up on the way out.

I had random peoples hands up my vagina, and I had a hunting light (or equivalent) in between my legs waiting for a baby to come out. If that wasn’t bad enough, I had my midwife give me a shower and shampoo my hair straight after.

So…someone seeing my boobs doesn’t faze me at all…whatsoever! Problem solved…  🙂
