- Wedding: May 2010
Well, I’m a brand new bee!
I got engaged July of this year to my best friend. We’ve been living together since 2007. We recently had a baby boy, Mr. Logan James, Sept. 27th, 2009. In the midst of bring hugely pregnant/having a newborn, I’ve been trying to plan this wedding.
Lets just say, its not going as smoothly as I envisioned as a little girl. My parents gave us a small budget ($5000). I know its not a lot of money but it was very generous of them, I wasn’t really expecting anything. His parents aren’t giving us any towards it because they don’t have much in general, and I would never ask them. We can put in some of our own money, but as you can imagine, having a newborn doesn’t give you a whole lot of extra cash.
ANYWAY… I’m at work so I can’t really post all of the beautiful pictures that I’ve been finding online yet.
But heres the scoop on the wedding so far:
Our colors are David’s Bridal Watermelon (I’d call it more of a fushia/hot pink) and chocolate brown. The 5 bridesmaids I have are all in a Watermelon dress, while the maid of honor wears a chocolate sash. His groomsmen are wearing chocolate brown tuxes and watermelon vests. Don’t knock the brown tuxes, I think they look classy.
I’ve booked: the chapel, the hall, the limo, the photographer, the honeymoon, and… thats all I can think of off the top of my head. OH and I’ve ordered my dress (in a size smaller than I was at the time cuz I recently had the baby via C section… lets hope I lost all the weight!!)
Anyway, I’m really interested in finding some great DIY projects! I’m not too crafty by nature, but I’m a fast learned. Any ideas/suggestions??!
I have my gift bags and some vases for the candy bar but thats about as far as that goes.
PLEASE HELP!! Will post pictures of my inspiration when I get home. Man work is boring…
