- Wedding: July 2012
I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself. I am recently engaged and am so happy to have found this site! I look forward to bumping ideas off of eachother and creating “web”ships with some of you.
The fiance proposed on 8/4, and on 8/7 we left the U.S. to head to Germany for his hockey career. This is my first time away from the west coast and I will be planning most of our wedding “across the pond” for our 7/7/2012 wedding.
While no deposits have been sent, I am quite certain we have found our reception/ceremony site, DJ and photographer, which are all back home in Western Massachusetts.
I am in love with the vintage glam/vintage garden wedding themes and hope that they will still be popular in two years for our wedding. I love to go thrifting and learning about all things vintage, I own my own etsy store at http://www.vintageisvogue.com, and feel that I can put a lot of personal touches on our day. I would also like to incorporate a travel theme, since that is what we will be doing for the next few years. I haven’t figured it all out quite yet, so right now my head is spinning with vintage glam/garden/travel ideas 🙂
I am toying with the colors pink, green, turquoise and ivory, in varying schemes and tones. Boy, I am glad we decided to set the date for 2 years from now so I have time to figure all of this out. I am looking forward to being a total DIY bride from the save the dates, invites, table decor, EVERYTHING!
We have a set budget of $25,000 but plan on keeping it under that.
I am not too familiar with this site but have been lurking for a few days seeing what its all about. I look forward to making new friends on here, responding to many posts and sharing my ideas over the next two years.
