Well I have had several events there back when I was prez of my state professional society.  Very lovely venue.  One I like also.  Use the waterfall garden for a ceremony.  I had a cocktail reception on the deck on the main floor of the hotel…faces the blue ridge mountains.  Had it as the sun was setting..candles too!  Was gorgeous!  They are fairly reasonable with catering.  I have also had receptions in a garden area outside of the convention rooms/amphitheater.  Wine and cheese reception.  Was lovely on a late spring evening.

When I did a site visit during the convention planning (spent 2 days there to get things done), I watched a wedding in october on the waterfall garden. Was a bit cold.  But the bride didn’t think alot of the things through..she could have accomplished it there beautifully.  Had luminaries but no sand in them and they kept toppling over.  🙁

All events went down without a hitch and were WELL received.

We also did a late night party on the deck overlooking the golf course and mountains beside divot’s (is that the name..I think so?) and used that space b/c it was covered.  Had enough room for some tables, some appetizer stations, and a small area for a dj and dancing.

There is also a covered reception pavillion also.  Many many lovely spots with useable space there.
