Mine costs $50 and I tip her $15.  I used to tip $10 at another place, but this girl is so much better, so I give her a little extra.

I tip about 20% which is $10. I go to the same location but I don’t always get the same person.

I’m an esthetician, so I’m the one getting the tips. I charge $65, and I’ve gotten everywhere from $5 to $20. I appreciate every tip, but I really appreciate the ones that are 20%.

Sidenote: When your waxer is on your “backside” don’t look over your shoulder at her and say, “Your job is disgusting” then think a $5 tip is appropriate.

    When it comes to Etiquette…

The standard for services performed (service industry jobs) is 15% to 20%… so it isn’t a dollar amount… it is a percentage of the total bill.

However, if the person performing the service, is also the Owner of the Business… there is no need to tip (also assumed they will charge more because they are more qualified).  BUT many people tip all the same… because losing “your go-to guy or gal… that you like & trust… be that esthetician, hairdresser, manicurist, or masseuse… can really really suck”

    Hope that helps,

    I tip 15 on $50.

This is why: One of my jobs is at a restaurant. I get 20% tips for serving people food. Sometimes it’s really not worth the hour or so I spend bringing them crap if I don’t like the person. Therefore, I feel if someone is all up in my vajayjay (seeing it in a state I don’t want others to see) they deserve a little more then a 20% tip.

I have never gotten anything but my eyebrows waxed. I’m just a chicken. Im terrified of what I can only assume will be horrible pain, not to mention embarrassment. Is it as bad as I imagine. How was it for you ladies the first time, I assume it gets better.
