lol, yes it hurts. I don’t think its terrible but people have different pain tolerances. I would not do it this close to the wedding. You may be tender afterwards. Also, you have to go a few times before you can really get clean results.

@Mrs.DsBeeloved:  it takes about 3 treatments to start seeing results – I think it’s the superior solution because it is permanent and it will permanently reduce (not completely wipeout) hair growth. The treatments are 4-6 weeks apart, so it’s not an instant solution. But if you want to do this, you can’t wax for 6 weeks before the first treatment and during the treatments.

Yes, it hurts. It really depends on the person doing it. I’ve had some that are miserable, some are not too bad. Look up reviews on yelp. Some will mention a specific person’s name at a salon. Call and ask for that person if it seems like other people have had good experiences.

The problem is you need about 3 weeks of hair growth before they can wax you so if you shave, you might not be able to get waxed before the wedding. If you haven’t shaved in awhile, you will be ok. You’ll be red and have bumps for a few hours but it goes away within 24 hours. To be safe, I’d do it 48 hrs before the wedding.

YES it does…I got one for our honeymoon…it hurt so much that every time she put the wax on and wnet to rip it off, I instinctively shoved her hand out of the way! I almost had to sit on my hands to stop hitting the waxer haha.

But then its’ over in ten minutes and whatever, no more pain after that. And it was nice to not have to shvae once on our honeymoon!

Also i don’t know if you hvae these where you live, but European Wax Center is offering promotions for free bikini waxes, or you can upgrade that to a $17 brazilian- worth it!

YES! But not where you would think. The most painful part is the top. Plus, if you’re going to do it, make sure you do it 3-4 days BEFORE you want it to look nice. Because it is all red and puffy and irritated for the first few days. Then it only lasts for like a week. it was absolutely not worth it IMO.

Yes, it hurts. I thought it wouldn’t be too bad because I get my eyebrows done all the time. I was wrong. The pain level decreases once you’ve been going regularly because the hair is softer as opposed to her waxing the broken off shaved hair the first time, which would be the case for you, even if you let it grow out a bit.

Regardless, it is totally worth it. You’ll never get it any smoother. I was in pain for a couple of hours afterwards, and then it was fine.

I just had my first a few days ago, and yeah. It hurts. Esp at the top (apparently that’s where you have the least fatty tissue underneath). And it looks kinda red and puffy for a good day or two. Also, your first will hurt the most because the hair is the most coarse from shaving.

But Fiance IS ALL ABOUT IT. And for me it’s worth it to not have to shave all the time.

Just pop a tylenol beforehand, and I used a towel to bite down on when it hurt, lol.

Also, someone suggested to me (and they were 100% right!) not to wear tight pants…you will NOT want to pull on tight jeans after that.

Like everyone else says it hurts, and for me I usually have to go back between 4 and 6 weeks. I think its worth it. I know this my sound a little strange, but I do not like the idea of laser hair removal. I am not cmofortable with the idea of my hair eventually not growing back. I But waxing gives me the freedom to change it up, I can take it all off one month or do some sort of design (landing strip or whatever).

It hurts some but if you wait until a week or two after your period ends, and if you take a couple Ibuprofin or Advil about 20 minutes before your waxing, it’s not too bad. It only takes ~5 minutes.

I’d say it can be practically painfree if you find a waxer with an excellent technique and to get it done at the right time in your monthly cycle. I’ve had waxes that had me screaming and left me red and very tender for days afterwards, and waxes that were only a tiny bit uncomfortable with no redness or pain at all afterwards.

Yes, it does but the pain goes away in like 2.5 seconds. If you can, I suggest getting sugared instead. It pull in the direction your hair brows so it’s a little less painful and it doesn’t stick to your skin – only the hair.

Yes! But IMO it’s totally worth it. It lasted about 3 weeks! Just grit your teeth and you’ll love it afterwards 🙂
