If there was a name for being cost conscience in the wedding world I bet it would be “small wedding,” however with a guest list 200-250 the better word might be cheap-or DIY. My wedding is in May on a Sat evening in a wineyard in Texas (I am with you- a vineyard in Dallas, but apparently there is one of course it does double as a farm). A pics:
Because of the Tuscan themed casual wedding I decided to have appetizers on cheese boards that I making from some wood at Homedepot since I need, count them, 54! The cheapest I found was $4.50 for each so instead of wasting that money I decided to make them from a pattern I found here :
After I sand them down I was thinking of putting chalk board paint on the tops and wrighting in white marker the names of the cheeses.
Also on the cheese board: grapes, crakers, 2 types of cheese and salami slices.
As for the bread dipping I decided to do that myself as well and found these oil bottles for $. 76 cents at
and a recipie for the oil and vinegar at
Any ideas of creative things I can do to decorate the bread dipping bottles and cheese board?
